About me

Considering therapy can be nerve-racking and even a little anxiety provoking. This is perfectly normal but once you start, you will soon come to realise that it is not as scary as you might think!

Therapy can be one of the most positive, life changing and liberating experiences. It offers many opportunities including that of re-instilling hope, a chance for self-reflection, clarity in your thinking, improved emotional well-being, the opportunity for positive change, a place to explore safely your distresses and concern, and the space to talk to someone in a safe and confidential environment without fear of judgement. A place where you can feel free to be your true selves and talk openly about whatever you need to and in ways in which you can't do with friends or family. A place to rediscover you.

- The opportunity to focus on areas of your life where you might feel challenged & overwhelmed.

- Assistance with dealing with elements of life that might throw you off balance.

- A safe, confidential, non-judgemental, compassionate place to talk where perhaps talking to friends or family isn't an option

- The chance to prioritise your own well-being and self-care.

- Support in dealing with difficult emotions, to heal & move forward in a positive way.

- Opportunity to stimulate your sense of curiosity & increase your self-awareness

- The support to embrace change.

- The chance to explore your immediate
concerns, your past experiences and your childhood in order to explore what might be affecting your present-day world

- Help towards understanding how your past experiences inform who you are today.

- A chance to experience a unique relationship of implicit trust, openness & acceptance

- The opportunity to gain a better understanding of yourself

Brings together various theories and has the view that no single approach is relevant for all.
As complex beings with complex thinking mechanisms there cannot be one brush stroke method applied to everyone. No one single theory can offer a comprehensive answer to all the personal challenges we face.

The Integrative approach takes into account that we all have different personalities, characteristics, experiences and individual needs and hence why those differences are reflected by the use of different approaches that match those varied human elements we all possess.
