About me

Dr Malvina Cunningham is a Consultant Dermatologist in London where she leads the Medical Dermatology Service at Bart’s Health, UK’s largest NHS Trust. She is an expert in eczema, psoriasis and lupus and runs dedicated clinics for these conditions. Dr Cunningham also has a special interest in acne, rosacea, skin cancer and skincare and she is passionate about adopting a holistic approach to treating her patients.

Dr Cunningham graduated with honours from University College London (UCL) and was awarded a PhD in medicine for her work on collagen formation and scarring. She subsequently trained in dermatology as an academic trainee in a number of London’s teaching hospitals.

Dr Cunningham has been awarded numerous national and international prizes for her academic and clinical work including awards form the Royal Society of Medicine, the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology and the British Skin Foundation.

Dr Cunningham is an honorary senior lecturer at Queen Mary University and teaches and examines medical students and GPs as part of the Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dermatology. She is involved in clinical and academic research, has numerous publications and lectures both nationally and internationally.
