About me

I am a Consultant Paediatric Neuropsychologist. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (No: PYL17432) and with the British Psychological Society as a Chartered Clinical Psychologist. I have completed post-doctoral training to ensure I hold Practitioner Full Membership of the Division of Neuropsychology of the British Psychological Society. I am a Full Member of the Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists (Reg. No: 00023643 19755), the Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors and am an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. I have completed the British Paediatric Neurology Association’s Paediatric Epilepsy Training courses 1 and 2. I have over twenty years’ experience in the fields of Clinical Psychology and Paediatric Neuropsychology and I have authored multiple publications (https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7425-2708; https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Matthew-Morrall). Areas of interest

I specialise in the assessment and treatment of children and young people up to and including 17 years of age with acquired brain injuries (e.g. traumatic brain injury, brain tumours, encephalitis, meningitis and stroke) and epilepsies, including potential candidates for epilepsy surgery. Assessment involves understanding the cognitive, psychological, educational and social impact of injury and neurological impairment. I see brain-injured children and young people routinely for out-patient neuropsychological assessments to determine the effects of injury on cognitive functioning, (e.g. memory and attention), learning, behaviour and provide rehabilitation.
