About me
I am an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist with an MA in Psychotherapy and Counselling and post-MA Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy. I am UKCP accredited and BACP registered.
I am also a qualified counselling supervisor: this work includes supervising counselling trainees for their placement organisation.
Besides this, I am a counselling lecturer at a college, teaching a wide variety of counselling approaches.
My way of working as a counsellor and psychotherapist is integrative and draws from gestalt therapy, CBT, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindful therapy, existential, psychosynthesis and other approaches. I adapt my way of working according to the individual client and his/her specific issues and needs.
The aim is for clients to become more empowered in their life, to develop greater flexibility in their thinking and behaviour, and to be more aware of their emotions, their values and their choices.
I have a particular interest in and experience of working with neurodiversity e.g. autism and ADHD and have certificate in understanding autism.
