About me
I have been working in the NHS for over 16 years and in my current role as a consultant for three years. I am an ex- East of England Academic Trainee having rotated through various major hospitals in the region for example Addenbrookes and Norfolk and Norwich before completing my training. I am highly published and have presented widely at local, national and international conferences and meetings and won several prizes and awards for my work. As a result of my academic training, where I completed a PhD at the University of Cambridge funded by a personal grant from the Medical Research Council, I have a research interest in prostate cancer diagnostics and worked on development of the MRI scan in the diagnosis of prostate cancer. Clinically, I am a general urologist with a specialist interest in minimally invasive renal surgery. I have a particular interest in education, lead an educational programme and examine for the local Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) medical school and supervise students from both ARU and QMUL London.
