About me
Dr Ciara Stiles is a qualified Senior Clinical Psychologist with experience working with clients of all ages. She has worked in the NHS for over 9 years and in addition to her private work continues to work in the NHS with adults presenting with complex and enduring mental health difficulties.
Ciara offers evidence-based psychological therapies for adults aged 18 years and above, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and has a particular interest in Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), having completed additional post-doctoral training with the Compassionate Mind Foundation. Ciara is also qualified in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). She works with individuals who are experiencing a range of psychological difficulties, such as: depression/low mood, anxiety disorders (e.g., phobias, panic, health anxiety, social anxiety, OCD), low self-esteem, trauma related difficulties (including PTSD), interpersonal difficulties, emotion dysregulation, and disordered eating. Ciara draws from a range of therapies to develop a fully individual and integrated approach best suited to the needs of each client. She is a warm, compassionate therapist who offers a safe, non-judgemental environment to work with clients to reduce their experience of psychological distress. Ciara has lived and worked in several countries internationally, including Kenya, Turkey, Bahrain, and Canada and feels passionate about making sure psychological therapy is inclusive to all cultural experiences.
Ciara is a chartered member and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and a registered Practitioner (Clinical) Psychologist with the Health & Care Professions Council (PYL36153). She offers face to face therapy in Glasgow and online/remote therapy across the UK.
