About me

I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 20 years’ experience.

Since completion of my orthopaedic training in Manchester, I became a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Southport and Ormskirk NHS Trust and Renacres Hall Hospitals. My main areas of interest are Lower limb arthroplasty (Knee and hip replacements), Arthroscopic knee surgery, Anterior Cruciate Ligament surgery and management of other Knee soft tissue injuries. In addition, I also manage Orthopaedic Trauma.

Over the past 20 years, I have developed effective time management skills and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues and work with other health care professionals to deliver the best possible care for my patients. This is evident by the regular feedback I collate as part of my multi-source feedback assessments and I am adherent and fully compliant with my practice to the GMC standards of Good Medical Practice.
During my tenure I was the Clinical Director for Trauma and Orthopaedics department at Southport and Ormskirk NHS Trust from August 2005 till March 2014.
My continuing professional development is of paramount importance and I regularly take part in attending national conferences and targeted technical skills courses to maintain and advance my surgical skills. Further, I take an active part in clinical audits and research in the department. I have published regularly over the last 20 years in national and International peer reviewed journals.
I am inspired to maintain my trauma and elective surgery skills and committed to maintain my hard work and high level of enthusiasm which I will bring to the job.
