About me

Dr Ibukunoluwa Oyinkansola completed her undergraduate training at the Imperial College Medical School, London; including an intercalated BSc in Neuroscience. She then went on to complete her postgraduate training in anaesthesia in North Central School, London (core anaesthesia training) and the South East School of anaesthesia, London (registrar training). She is a fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCOA). In addition to her formal clinical training, Dr Oyinkansola did a Clinical fellowship in neuroanaesthesia and neurocritical care at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (2015-2016) and was appointed as a substantive consultant in neuroanaesthesia at the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery, London in 2018. She has a keen interest in education and clinical governance and is the Anaesthesia Clinical Services Accreditation (ACSA) and Education lead for her department. She also chairs her hospital's clinical guidelines committee. Dr Oyinkansola's interest in global health is reflected in work done through the West African College of Surgeons outreach program working in several west African countries. She has also worked as an international fellow in Obstetrics Anaesthesia at Mount Sinai Hospital, Canada. Along with this, she has worked as an air ambulance doctor transferring patients across Europe for an air ambulance company. She recently completed an MBA at the Imperial Business school and currently works in neuroanaesthesia and obstetric anaesthesia at the University College London Hospital trust.
