About me

I am a member of the Breast Imaging Team at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton (UHDB), providing both symptomatic and breast screening services for the populations of South Derbyshire and East Staffordshire.
Clinical Practice
My role includes delivering comprehensive breast imaging services across:

One-stop symptomatic clinics
Breast screening assessment clinics

I perform and report a full range of breast imaging techniques, including:

Mammography
Ultrasound
Digital breast tomosynthesis
Breast MRI

Interventional Expertise
I have extensive experience in a wide variety of breast interventional procedures, including:

Ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration (FNA)
Core biopsy
Stereotactic biopsy
Preoperative wire localisation (ultrasound and X-ray guided)
Vacuum-assisted biopsy and excision
MRI-guided biopsy

Reporting and Multidisciplinary Work
My responsibilities include:

Breast clinic and screening assessment reporting
Screen reading
Breast MRI reporting
Reporting staging CT scans for breast cancer patients

I am an active participant in the Breast Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), regularly presenting and contributing to case discussions. I also engage in departmental meetings within both the Breast Unit and the wider Radiology Department, contributing to service development, governance, and education.
Leadership Role
I have recently been appointed Deputy Breast Screening Director for the South Derbyshire and East Staffordshire Breast Screening Service.
Teaching and Education
I am involved in teaching and training, including:

Undergraduate clinical teaching
Supervising senior trainees
