About me
I am a consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon specialising in the management of hand, wrist, and forearm conditions. I work as a substantive consultant in the NHS at London Northwest Hospitals Trust.
After graduating from Bart’s & The London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2008, I continued my specialist training in trauma and orthopaedic surgery on the Royal London training programme. Having trained at leading NHS institutions including the Royal London Hospital, University College London Hospitals, and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital I gained experience in the management of major trauma and delivering tertiary specialist care.
Achieving a Master’s degree in sports medicine, exercise and health at University College London allows a greater insight into the unique care involved in treating and rehabilitating athletes and those with greater demands on their manual dexterity.
In August 2019 I was selected for the highly sought-after Australian Orthopaedic Association accredited fellowship at the Brisbane Hand and Upper Limb Research Institute.
As an NHS consultant I provides acute and emergency care to both adults and children while managing chronic disorders of the hand, wrist, and forearm.
I consider teaching an integral part of my daily practice, educating colleagues and medical students, not forgetting that teaching also involves interaction with allied healthcare professionals and patient education. I am a member of faculty on orthopaedic examination courses and have organised annual academic meetings for London based orthopaedic surgeons.
My professional development continues through active participation in instructional courses and workshops keeping up to date with evolving techniques and implants. I have presented at international and national conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals.
