About me

Hi, I'm Jo.

I'm a therapeutic counsellor and I've been qualified for nine years. I'm a registered and accredited member of the BACP.

I have worked in a therapeutic capacity in a variety of areas, including a GP referral service, university counselling services, a secondary school, a national mental health charity and private practice.

I have also worked in a variety of industries, including hospitality/hotel management in the UK and abroad, and corporate event management in a global firm.

Now, I provide counselling support for people in Sidcup & Bexley in SE London/Kent borders, and online. Therapeutic support focuses on identity, self-esteem, self-care, anger management, anxiety, and maintaining healthy boundaries in relationships.

I am most passionate about helping you to understand yourself to be able to be your true self and to live an authentic life. Improving confidence and trust in yourself will help you care less about what others think and help you feel more able to live as you want to.

I explore past patterns of relating that lead to current relationship dynamics, such as relationships in childhood, adolescence and early adulthood. I believe that a more thorough understanding of how we become who we are allows us to let go of those things that no longer serve us.
