About me
Dr Mike Debney is a Consultant Cardiologist at North Middlesex University Hospital where he is Clinical Director for Cardiology, Respiratory, Neurology and Stroke Medicine and Clinical lead for the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory. He treats all general and acute cardiology conditions and has a specialist interest in Cardiac Electrophysiology & Pacing.
Dr Debney completed his higher specialist training in Cardiology in 2019 after rotations at leading London hospitals including his subspeciality fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology at Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals.
He was awarded his PhD in Cardiac Electrophysiology in 2015 from Imperial College London for his work in investigating novel medications that modulate the healing architecture of the infarct border zone and reduce arrhythmogenicity which has been published and presented at national and international conferences.
Dr Debney has extensive experience in the investigation and management of all general and acute cardiology conditions (such as chest pain, palpitations, breathlessness, blackouts) and has a specialist interest in heart rhythm disturbances. He is an experienced operator and performs diagnostic angiography, implantable loop recorder implant and explant, pacemaker implantation and ablation of supraventricular tachyarrhythmias.
