About me
Mr Guido Geutjens is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon based at the Royal Derby Hospital and Derby Nuffield Hospital. A Specialist Knee and Sports Injury Surgeon, he has 20 years of experience in all aspects of knee surgery.
Mr Geutjens' extensive knowledge and surgical skills means he is invited to lecture all over the world. Based in Derby, he is the Consulting Orthopaedic Consultant to a number of professional sports teams and has operated on international footballers, commonwealth medalists, Olympic athletes and world champions.
Mr Geutjens has performed over 7,000 arthroscopies and 3000 anterior cruciate ligament reconstructions throughout his career. He also has considerable experience in knee replacements and osteotomy procedures around the knee. His specialist areas of interest include cartilage meniscus tears and transplants and arthritis in the young. Mr Geutjens is also known for his work with the repair of rare and difficult muscle injuries of the leg. Mr Geutjens has both an NHS and a private practice in Derby.
