About me

I am an accredited integrative counsellor, offering a warm, non-judgemental experience of therapy. I aim to create a safe environment for you to tackle the issues which bring you to therapy.

I work with adults and older teens over Zoom. I undertook specific training as there are some considerations, especially around safeguarding which need to be made when it comes to working online. Appointments are usually weekly but it may be that later on in your therapy, we can agree a fortnightly slot, subject to availability.

My area of specialism is working with those who are awaiting or have recently had a diagnosis of autism or ADHD, particularly later in life. A later diagnosis means that clients often find it useful to explore not only their initial response to the news but to look back at key events in their lives through the lens of this newly-acquired information. Once these feelings have been processed, we can work on how to move on into the future with more confidence. Although neurodivergence is the typical focus of my client work, I work in a similar way with other forms of later diagnoses of chronic conditions and the processing of their impact on our lives.

Although I work solely with individuals, as part of my professional development, I have gained a Certificate in Diversity within Contemporary Relationships. The course covered
Other Loves & Relational Styles,
Working Alongside Trans, Non Binary & Questioning Clients, Neurodivergence, Sex and Relationships,
Bisexuality and Sexual Fluidity and
Working with Kink.

I have also completed a certificate in Trauma-focused Therapy.

I invite you to contact me to discuss your needs. It's really important that you feel comfortable talking to me and also that I am able to support you within the limits of my competencies. For this reason, I offer a phone/zoom session free of charge and ask you to take time to reflect before making your decision.
