About me

Dr Roselle Herring is a consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology and General Medicine at the Mid South Essex Trust in Southend. Her special interests include weight loss management, Diabetes (Type1, Type3c and Type 2 diabetes), thyroid disorders, problems related to the adrenal and pituitary gland, metabolic medicine, reproductive hormones and calcium disorders.

Roselle undertook her initial medical training at the St Bartholomew's and the Royal London Hospital. She underwent specialist training in South West London and and completed her MD at University of Surrey. She was offered her first consultant position at Royal Surrey County Hospital. During her time at Guildford she was head of department for the Centre of Diabetes and Endocrinology and was Chief of Service for Medicine. She moved to Essex in 2021 and holds a Consultant position at Mid South Essex NHS Trust

She is an active researcher and Senior Researcher at University of Surrey. Over the span of Roselle’s medical career she has published extensively in many peer reviewed medical journals and presented at International and National conferences. Her achievements were recognised and she became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians.
