About me

Mr Al-Obaidi was appointed as a consultant in orthopaedic and trauma surgery at Hillingdon and Mount Vernon Hospitals, London in 2020. He has a specialist interest in complex hip and knee trauma surgery, including the use of robotics.
Originally from Iraq, he completed his medical studies at the Baghdad College of Medicine with further specialist training in Jordan. Following on from extensive work at the trauma centre in Dubai. Mr Al-Obaidi came to the UK in 2010 and completed a fellowship at Imperial College London in hip and knee trauma and elective surgery. He went on to complete a diploma in computer assisted robotic surgery in Glasgow. Mr Al-Obaidi has a passion for supporting medical education and teaches as part of the Northwest London registrar training program. In 2019 and 2020 Mr Al-Obaidi won the prestigious Lipman Kessel trainer of the year award.
