About me
I have been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Edinburgh for more than 20 years. My principal areas of clinical practice are
a) Lower limb arthroplasty - hip and knee replacement surgery,
b) Knee surgery including arthroscopic knee surgery, ligament reconstruction and sports injuries.
With my interest in knee surgery and sports injuries I see sports men and women, amateur, professional and international, in sports ranging from football, hockey and rugby, snow-sport and athletics to cycling and triathlon.
Seeing a "patient" returning to full competition, be it amateur or international honours, is always a wonderful reward.
I am married with three children and since i stopped playing rugby, enjoy cycling, tennis and skiing.
