About me
Dr McLindon is the senior medical Gastroenterologist providing care for patients in St Helens and Knowsley and seeing patients for private consultation at Fairfield independent Hospital. Dr McLindon has a particular interest in both luminal gastroenterology and hepatology and has expertise in the full range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy (gastroscopy, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, ERCP). He trained in leading units in Liverpool and Manchester before taking up his Consultant post in 1997.
In addition to his role in Gastroenterology he is the Director of Medical Education at St Helens & Knowsley NHS Hospitals Trust. His clinical expertise extends to the prevention and management of gastrointestinal cancer, nutrition, management of conditions such as diarrhea, constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, Coeliac disease, indigestion, reflux disease and anaemia.
He is a member of the British Society of Gastroenterology and a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians. Dr McLindon is an accredited trainer for endoscopy and honorary senior lecturer at Liverpool University.
