About me

Please note that I am not currently taking on new referrals.

I am a Clinical Psychologist and have worked across hospital and community settings in the NHS for over six years.

I have experience of supporting people in their adjustment to physical health conditions and treatments including Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), cardiomyopathy, heart failure, and those with Implantable Cardioverter Devices (ICD).

More recently I have worked in mental health liaison and crisis community mental health services, providing assessments and brief interventions to individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts and self-harm.

I have worked with adults experiencing mild to severe psychological difficulties. My approach involves developing a shared understanding of an individual's distress and supporting them to develop coping strategies and build resilience, so they may live a more meaningful life.

I believes it is important to tailor the therapeutic approach, therefore I have an integrative way of working, using psychological models most relevant to each person’s difficulties. I draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) approaches. I also utilise Psychodynamic Interpersonal Therapy (PIT) and Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) informed approaches, especially when considering relational difficulties.
