About me
I am originally from Poland, that’s where I grew up and completed MSc in Applied Psychology (2002). After moving to the UK in 2005, I continued to develop my knowledge base and clinical skills; this led me to completing the Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (University of Hertfordshire, 2016). Since 2008 I have supported people with severe and enduring mental health difficulties as part of the NHS service provision.
Over the years I have helped people manage difficult experiences and helped them to work through past events and the aftermath of those. Life can sometimes be overwhelming and we all at times go through a more difficult time. I believe, that with the right support, we can negotiate such challenges successfully. I offer a safe, confidential, and supportive space where you will be heard without judgment and where we will together towards your goals.
I find it is best to tailor the sessions to individual’s specific needs. I thus use an evidence-based integrative approach informed by third wave of cognitive therapies (Cognitive behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotion Focussed Therapy), and Systemic Therapy theories. I aim to help you gain a better understanding of your difficulties and how these are maintained, and support you in overcoming these.
