About me

I am a Consultant Cardiologist/Electrophysiologist at University Hospitals of Leicester. I obtained my medical degrees from the University of Cambridge before undergoing specialized training in Cardiology in the West Midlands Deanery. I was awarded the prestigious British Heart Foundation Clinical Research Fellowship which led to a PhD degree from the University of Leicester in 2017. Subsequently, I pursued advanced cardiac electrophysiology fellowships at the Ottawa Heart Institute, the largest cardiac centre in Canada, and at the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, the highest volume cardiac centre in the United Kingdom. Ultimately, I was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist/Electrophysiologist at the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital before returning to Leicester.

I performed over 200 procedures a year including catheter ablation for various arrhythmias and pacemaker/defibrillator implantations. I lead the ventricular tachycardia ablation program at University Hospitals of Leicester, introducing a variety of imaging modalities to guide complex ablations. This ranges from 3D mapping systems, intracardiac echocardiography, computed tomography to magnetic resonance imaging. I have a particular interest in streamlining ablation procedures using various technologies including high-power, short-duration ablation workflow as well as zero fluoroscopy approaches.
