About me
I am a consultant of over 20 years experience in general gynaecology with a special interest in urogynaecology, pelvic floor problems, pelvic pain, menstrual problems, endometriosis and fibroids. I am also experienced in treating adolescents and the problems relating to puberty, menstrual dysfunction and pain. I pride myself in being a good communicator, listening to patients, being non judgmental and helping and aiding them to make choices that are suitable to them.
Areas of interest
Menstrual problems including heavy periods, painful periods, polycystic ovarian syndrome, menopause, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, fibroids, premenstrual syndrome including PMDD, pelvic organ prolapse including uterine prolapse, vaginal, bladder and bowel prolapse, urinary incontinence, pain bladder syndrome, painful intercourse, vulval pain and inflammation. I offer open abdominal hysterectomy, Key-hole(laparoscopic) hysterectomy and vaginal hysterectomy, pelvic floor repair with sacrospinous fixation, colpoceisis, autologous fascial sling for incontinence, hysteroscopy with removal of fibroid and polyps and endometrial ablation, insertion of pessaries for prolapse, hormone implant for HRT, laparoscopic treatment of endometriosis, laparoscopic removal of ovarian cyst, insertion of Mirena IUS, cervical smears, bladder instillation for treatment of interstitial cystitis. I see patients from ages of 2 years and over.
