My name is Pablo Sabucedo and I am a clinical psychologist chartered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and registered with the Health and Care Prof. Council (HCPC). I am also a registered European Psychologist (EuroPsy) with the European Federation of Psychology (EFPA). I completed my MSc and PhD in Clinical Psychology at the universities of Leiden, in Holland, and Roehampton, in London.
I have practised as a clinician in several countries, working in centres and charities in and beyond Europe. Having taught at the University of Roehampton, I currently lecture at the University of Liverpool. I am also involved as a researcher in national and international scientific studies.
Areas of interest
I am experienced working with anxiety, post-traumatic stress, grief, existential crises, obsessive-compulsive difficulties, relationship issues and depression (among other mental health difficulties) in a time-limited manner.
I have an integrative approach my work, tailoring psychotherapy to the person’s situation, aims and preferences. I am experienced and trained in several modalities, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a form of mindfulness-based CBT; Person-Centred Therapy (PCT); Existential Therapy; and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

I continue to be involved in academic teaching and research, and my work on integrative psychotherapy and cultural psychiatry has been published in a number of peer-reviewed academic journals. I have also presented at both national and international conferences.
Doctoral Research Award 2022, British Psychological Society, after a fully-funded PhD scholarship at the University of Roehampton, in London.
