About me

Dedicated Consultant Gynaecologist and Endometriosis Specialist with over 18 years of extensive experience, currently practicing at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Passionate about women's health, particularly in the realm of endometriosis, I strive to provide compassionate care and innovative solutions to improve the lives of my patients.

As a leading expert in the field, I specialize in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery for the treatment of endometriosis, contributing to the renowned Sheffield Endometriosis Centre as one of its key surgeons. Additionally, I serve as the lead for benign gynaecology robotic surgery at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance patient outcomes.

My expertise extends to the comprehensive management of menstrual problems, fibroids, and ovarian cysts, employing a patient-centered approach to address individual needs effectively. Proficient in hysteroscopic procedures, I perform both diagnostic and operative interventions to investigate and treat menstrual disorders and heavy menstrual bleeding with precision and care.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I am deeply committed to advancing the field of gynaecology through active participation in esteemed organizations such as the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy, European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy, British and Irish Association of Robotic Gynaecological Surgeons, and European Endometriosis League. As an honorary senior lecturer at The University of Sheffield, I am dedicated to sharing knowledge and nurturing the next generation of medical professionals.

My practice is guided by a patient-centric ethos, emphasizing empathy, respect, and dignity in every interaction. I believe in fostering collaborative relationships with patients, empowering them with knowledge and support to make informed decisions about their health journey. Integrity, excellence, and innovation form the cornerstone of my approach to delivering high-quality care tailored to individual needs.

Looking ahead, I am driven to continue pushing the boundaries of gynaecological care, striving for excellence in clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction. Through ongoing research, education, and advocacy, I aim to contribute to the advancement of women's health globally, ensuring equitable access to quality care for all.

As a Consultant Gynaecologist and Endometriosis Specialist, I am deeply privileged to be entrusted with the health and well-being of my patients.
