About me

I am a Consultant orthopaedic surgeon at MidYorksire NHS trust and Spire Hospitals. I specialise in hip and knee robotic surgery
One of my main interests and my true passion is minimally invasive, muscle sparring hip replacement surgery which I perform robotic assisted at Spire Methley Park hospital.


What is the purpose behind my technique? And ultimately the benefit for patients?


- robotic surgery brings precision - allowes optimal implant positioning tailored to each patient's individual anatomy based on a CT scan 3d reconstruction. As a result patients will have a fully personalised hip replacement with a range of movement close to normal.

- Minimally invasive surgery brings finesses, soft tissue damage will be minimal. Patients will have less post op pain and a faster recovery. Not to mention the cosmetic aspect, a tiny little scar which is barely visible shortly after surgery

- and ultimately, muscle sparing offers increased stability and subsequently longevity to the new hip joint.


And what is unique about my surgical technique is that It puts together all these 3 equally important aspects to offer my patients the best possible outcome.
