About me
I am a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at Northampton General Hospital and Three Shires Hospital, specialising in hip and knee surgery. My practice focuses on:
 Hip and knee replacements
Revision surgery for hip and knee replacements
 Arthroscopic (keyhole) knee surgery
Complex lower limb trauma involving the hip and knee
I qualified in 2003 and completed my surgical training in Yorkshire and the East Midlands. In 2016 I became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS Tr&Orth). Alongside this, I undertook a Master's degree in Health Research at the University of Leeds, which strengthened my commitment to evidence-based medicine and high-quality outcomes.
As part of my specialist training, I gained extensive experience in complex hip and knee revision surgery and major lower limb trauma during fellowships at Nottingham University Hospitals and the Royal London Hospital. This training gave me advanced skills in managing some of the most challenging cases, which now form a key part of my practice.
In my work, I use surgical implants with proven long-term results and the latest anaesthetic, pain relief, and minimally invasive techniques. This approach supports enhanced recovery, early mobilisation, and excellent functional outcomes.
My surgical results are carefully monitored through the National Joint Registry (NJR), where my outcomes are better than the national average. Patients also give consistently excellent feedback, reflected in my 5 out of 5 Doctify rating, often highlighting clear communication, a supportive approach, and excellent outcomes.
I am a member of:
Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCSEng)
 British Orthopaedic Association (BOA)
 British Hip Society (BHS)
British Association for Surgery of the Knee (BASK)
Through these professional societies, I regularly attend training courses, conferences, and clinical meetings. This ensures I remain fully up to date with the latest evidence, techniques, and best practice guidelines, so my patients benefit from the highest standard of modern orthopaedic care.
My focus is simple: safe care, excellent results, and a positive patient experience. For me, surgery is not just about replacing a joint it's about restoring confidence, independence, and quality of life.
