About me

My initial training in Anaesthesia was in India where I worked for 3 years as a Cardiac Anaesthetist before I moved to UK.

I had further structured speciality training in UK with an overall experience of 20 years in Anaesthesia including India & UK and currently working as a Consultant Anaesthetist at Epsom & St Helier's University Hospital NHS Trust.

Areas of interest

My interest is TIVA/TCI - GA anaesthesia for major surgical procedures like Colo-rectal , spine and major gynaecology surgeries, TCI sedation for minor procedures and Regional Anaesthesia including proximal & distal ultrasound nerve blocks where indicated for upper limb, lower limb surgeries and also central neuraxial blocks for some lower limb and abdominal surgeries for intra-operative and post-operative pain relief.

My interest in NHS practice includes the above and also Obstetric Anaesthesia, looking after pregnant women and helping them with pain relief during normal delivery and providing anaesthesia during Caesarean section & other procedures in the operation theatre when needed. I also run a Obstetric Anaesthesia Clinic for high risk pregnant patients to help plan their management during pregnancy and child birth working collaboratively with MDT including Maternal medicine and Obstetrics teams.
