About me

I am a BPS and HCPC Registered Counselling Psychologist and UKCP integrative psychotherapist with a speciality in working with adults, children and young people living with a chronic health condition. For the past twenty years, I have worked in a variety of settings in the NHS, not-for-profit and private sectors, helping adults, children and young people develop better skills, resources and empowerment around their mental and physical health.

Areas of interest

Adults, children and young people living with a long term health condition
Anxiety (including social anxiety, panic attacks, separation anxiety, school based anxiety/school refusal, obsessive compulsive disorder and phobias including agoraphobia);
Stress arising from a change in routine, life transition (e.g. secondary school), illness, diagnosis or treatment ;
Self-esteem, confidence, visible difference and appearance issues;
Issues around loss due to illness/missing work, school/college;
chronic illness e.g. menopause, dermatology, allergy, IBS, IBD, MS, diabetes, CFS, long Covid; Preparation for medical or surgical procedures;
Emotional disturbance linked to parental discord, separation or divorce;
Emotional problems and adjustment difficulties linked to chronic health problems;
Behavioural problems/ challenging behaviour;
Sleep difficulties;
