About me
I have been a Consultant Upper GI Surgeon at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust for 20 years. I set up the unit in 1997 and am the Senior Consultant Upper GI Surgeon. I have several national roles in the Association of Upper GI Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons, and have been heavily involved in developing guidelines and setting quality standards in upper GI surgery. I am the Lead Clinician for Cancer in Oxford University Hospitals Trust.

Minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery; Surgical treatment of oesophageal cancer and gastric (stomach) cancer; keyhole surgery for hiatus hernias and acid reflux; keyhole surgery for achalasia; keyhole surgery for gallstones and other diseases of the stomach and oesophagus; surgery for hernias; endoscopies of the stomach (gastroscopy).
