About me
Mr Salvesen is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. He qualified as a doctor at St Thomas’ Hospital in 1986. He then undertook specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at three of London’s prestigious Teaching Units: St Thomas’ Hospital, Kings College Hospital and Queen Charlotte’s Hospital.
At Kings College Hospital he also spent two years undertaking Fetal Medicine research and training in Obstetric Ultrasound under the supervision of Professor Nicolaides.
He was appointed as an NHS Consultant in 1998 and remains a Consultant at East and North Herts NHS Lister Hospital, Stevenage. His private practice is based at Pinehill Hospital, Hitchin, Hertfordshire, SG49QZ, although he also has admission rights at Spire Harpenden Hospital, Harpenden.
His training was broad gynaecological and this is reflected in his clinical workload. He has expertise in the management of a wide range of gynaecological problems. He offers consultations but does NOT operate anymore. If a patient needs an operation he will refer to colleagues.
