About me
Charlie Chan is a frustrated photographer and itinerant Cancer Surgeon from Cheltenham in the UK. Away from treating women with breast cancer, he indulges his passion in photography (along with music, rugby and motorsport).
At work, he likes to embrace the spirit of his patients. Likewise in his photography, he tries to capture the moment and the emotions. He came across his first Leica (M6TTL) in the 1990s and has never looked back. Now he shoots with too many cameras according to his long suffering wife.
His pictures hang in the personal collections of Gregory Porter, Imelda May, Wilko Johnson, Alan McGee and Jamie Cullum, as well as being used by Cheltenham and Cornbury Festivals.
Always one for horizon gazing, he is now planning his retirement career as a photographer. Just don’t tell his patients!
