About me
I qualified in Medicine at University College London Hospitals. After further training and finishing my PhD at Guy’s Hospital I completed my rheumatology training in Oxford.
I have been an NHS Consultant Rheumatologist for over 15 years at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham and more recently at Milton Keynes University Hospital.
I have a broad base of experience and interest in general rheumatology, with a particular interest in inflammatory arthritis, (rheumatoid arthritis and seronegative arthritis such as psoriatic arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis).
I have a particular longstanding clinical and research interest in Sjogren's syndrome. I am an Honorary Professor at the University of Birmingham.
I am a past President of the British Society for Rheumatology and prior to that Chair of the BSR Education and Training Committee.
