About me
Overview
It is tough to be emotionally resilient in today's world. The pressures of daily life have never been more intense, with stresses at home and in the workplace heightened by economic uncertainty.
The good news is that as a society we are more aware of the importance of our mental health for our general wellbeing. Just as with physical health, early interventions can make a big difference by preventing mental health problems and equip us with healthy coping skills to navigate the ups and downs of life.
About me
I am a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist with more than 15 years of working in the NHS with people experiencing mental health difficulties at varying levels of severity; from first time presentations to difficulties that are deep rooted and longstanding, despite the individual's effort to improve their life.
In my private practice, INPSYCHOLOGY, I specialise in offering individually-tailored therapies to people who experience psychological, emotional and relationship difficulties that have a debilitating impact on their quality of life.
In partnership with my clients, this is achieved by:
• Getting to the root cause of their difficulties.
• Understanding their personal needs, and
• Strengthening resilience and develop
healthy coping resources.
Through developing a strong foundation from which the person can continue to grow and thrive, the goal of therapy is an overall improvement in the person’s general wellbeing.
To carry out these fundamental changes, I offer a range of evidence based psychological therapies that are highly responsive to difficulties related to trauma, adjustment difficulties, loss, interpersonal experiences, low self-worth and self-confidence, shame, guilt, depression and anxiety.
Areas of interest
I specialise in applying psychological interventions for moderate and complex mental health concerns.
This includes complex trauma; PTSD; adjustment difficulties; loss; interpersonal experiences; low self-worth and self-confidence; shame; guilt; depression; anxiety.
I implement Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT); Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR); Psychodynamic Therapy; Integrative Psychotherapy and Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS)
I work with Adults from 18 years old.
