About me
I am a Consultant Cardiologist at University Hospital Bristol & Weston based at the Weston site. I undertake elective and emergency practice in a wide range of cardiac conditions including chest pain, breathlessness, heart arrhythmias, high blood pressure and syncope.
I have a specialist interest in breathlessness due to heart failure and I am the lead for the Heart Failure Service at the Weston site. I am accredited with the British Society of Echocardiography for echocardiograms.
I am part of the Primary PCI team on call at the Bristol Heart Institute treating patients who present with acute heart attacks within the region.
My undergraduate medical training took place at Bristol University. I have a degree in Psychology (2:1) and went on to complete my medical degree in 1986. I undertook cardiology specialist training in the South West. During this period I was awarded a British Heart Foundation research grant culminating in the award of a PhD.
