About me

Mr Jallad is a consultant urological surgeon at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust working mainly at Heatherwood and Wexham Park Hospitals and covers St Mark’s Hospital at Maindenhead and King Edward VII at Windsor. In addition to general and common core urology, he has sub-specialist interest in the diagnosis and treatment of prostate hypertrophy and bladder outflow obstruction as well as specialist interest in the investigation of haematuria and the diagnosis and management of bladder cancer. He is also interested in adopting new technology and utilising minimally invasive surgery in the treatment of urological conditions including bladder cancer, bladder dysfunction, benign prostatic hypertrophy.

He qualified from medical school in 2003 with distinctions. He completed the higher specialist training in Urology at North-West Thames which included rotations at The Royal Marsden and Imperial College Healthcare.

He completed a Master’s degree from Cardiff University in advanced surgical practice and awarded a PhD in Urology from Brighton and Sussex Universities for his work in researching clinical and molecular biomarkers related to bladder cancer treatment. He is very passionate about research and academic work, presented in many national and international conferences and has many publications in peer-review journals.

Since the appointment as a consultant in Frimley Health, he introduced 2 new services including outpatient laser treatment for bladder cancer and rapid access lower urinary tract symptoms service for men, as well as investing in day-case bladder cancer surgery and reducing the need for post-operative hospital admissions by >50%, adopting narrow-band imaging and blue light cystoscopy for better diagnostic abilities.
