About me

I am a fully qualified and accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with additional training in Schema Therapy and EMDR.

I am also qualified to help people who feel their engagement in certain sexual activities/behaviours are out of control and having a negative impact on their lives - they may describe this as a sex or porn addiction.

I have a special interest in trauma and I am passionate about helping people explore and overcome adverse past experiences that continue to impact their lives in the present.

Originally working within the mental health field of the NHS I now run my own private practice.

I realise it can be daunting reaching out for therapy, please be reassured when you enter therapy with me you aren't expected to lead the conversation and fill the silence and you certainly won't be expected to lie on a couch whilst I psychoanalyse you! Instead, my focus is putting you at ease, guiding the conversation when necessary and managing your expectations for therapy whilst emphasising my non-judgmental, genuine and approachable nature. I am by no means overly formal within my approach and clients often report finding it reassuring and beneficial that I am professional yet down-to-earth and genuine.
