About me
I have been a Clinical Psychologist in the NHS for over 30 years (since 1987 - Jan 2021) providing services to Adults with mental health problems both as a therapist, a consultant and a service developer. I have been a professional head of a large Adult Psychology service for over 20 years.
I am trained in a wide range of effective therapies for many mental health problems. In addition to the above this includes Mentalisation Based Therapy, Mindfulness, Anxiety/ Stress Management, Anger Management, EMDR Feeling State (Addiction) Therapy.
I am a Chartered Psychologist and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. I am registered with the Heath Care Professions Council as a Practitioner Psychologist No.: PYL03772.
I can help people with a wide range of mental health problems with an individually tailored approach that starts with an accurate understanding of the problem (in collaboration with the client) and a plan for resolving the difficulties which follows on from this. It is a person centred approach.
