About me

Hello, I have over 13 years’ experience working in a variety of settings, including GP surgeries, employee assistance programmes, the voluntary sector and private practice. I've been awarded Individual Accreditation by the BACP having demonstrated high standards of competent and ethical practice.

Experience tells me there is no such thing as a typical client - certain types of counselling suit some people more than others, so I draw from a range of approaches to provide the right help for you. I initially trained as a Person-Centred counsellor. Since qualifying, I have undertaken further training in Short Term Psychodynamic Therapy and ‘third wave’ CBT approaches such as Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindful Self-Compassion.

We would normally meet in a discreet, comfortable consulting room in the centre of Shrewsbury. However, I am also able to offer sessions online using Zoom.
