About me

I have worked as a qualified Clinical Psychologist for 15 years. I have had a varied career, working within a number of different specialisms across the age range, which has provided me with a wide breadth of knowledge and skills.

I am passionate about using psychological theory to help people understand how their difficulties have come about and the patterns of thinking or behaviour that serve to maintain those issues. My practice is named 'Insight Psychology' as I believe that building insight into our difficulties helps us to navigate our way through them to a future where we can thrive.
I work in a integrative way, pulling on various therapeutic approaches to tailor a treatment plan to suit your needs. I always try to work with people to address the underlying causes of a problem rather solely focus on providing skills to manage the symptoms.

I have experience of treating all anxiety and moods disorders, but I also have specialist skills in treating eating disorders and psychosis. I worked for many years in a specialist eating disorder service and within an Early Intervention in Psychosis Service
