About me
Dr Baldry was appointed to her NHS consultant post in 2016. She has a busy NHS practice with extensive experience in all forms of non-surgical treatment for breast cancer including radiotherapy, chemotherapy, targeted treatment and immunotherapy.
She started her undergraduate studies at Oxford, gaining a first class degree in physiological sciences with a prize in cell biology. She then completed her medical degree in Edinburgh where she graduated with honours. After junior doctor training she commenced her specialist training in London. She completed the specialist examinations for the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists, winning the gold medals for both the first and final parts of the examination.
She is responsible for producing regional radiotherapy guidelines, is a voting member for national guidelines and contributes to national audit. She trains radiographers for advanced practice roles.
She is an examiner for the specialist examinations run by the Royal College of Radiologists and a director of the Sheffield FRCR preparation course run for doctors taking their final specialist examinations. She has contributed to textbooks on breast cancer treatment and teaches on a European breast cancer course for surgeons.
Her focus is always on her patients and she prides herself on providing individualised care, taking her patients’ concerns and priorities into account at all stages of treatment
