About me

For over two decades I have supported a wide range of individuals in private practice and higher education, helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, life transitions, and personal growth.

My work is grounded in the belief that change becomes possible when you feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported.

My approach is flexible and responsive to your unique needs. Together, we will identify what matters most to you and work towards meaningful, sustainable change at a pace that feels right.

In addition to my therapeutic work, I facilitate a support group for individuals living with secondary breast cancer. This experience has deepened my understanding of resilience, loss, uncertainty, and the emotional complexity that accompanies significant life challenges. It informs my practice with a compassionate, steady presence for clients facing difficult or unexpected circumstances of any kind.

How I work:
As a person-centred and integrative counsellor, I place great emphasis on the quality of the therapeutic relationship. Your story and your experience will guide our work. I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to help you explore your concerns safely, build insight, and develop practical ways of moving forward.

Areas of Expertise:

Depression: Creating a reflective, supportive space to understand feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and disconnection, and to rediscover a sense of purpose and meaning.
Stress: Helping you recognise sources of stress and develop healthier, more sustainable coping strategies.

Anxiety: Working with you to understand triggers, manage symptoms, and strengthen emotional resilience.

Confidence: Supporting you in building self-esteem and cultivating a stronger, more grounded sense of self.

Loss: Providing gentle guidance through bereavement and other forms of loss, honouring both the emotional and practical aspects of the grieving process.

Anger Management: Offering tools to understand, regulate, and express anger in constructive ways.

Relationship Issues: Supporting individuals and couples to improve communication, navigate conflict, and foster more secure and fulfilling relationships.

How sessions work:
Sessions last 50 minutes and offer a confidential, non-judgemental space to explore what you are experiencing. Together we will work to understand underlying patterns, develop new perspectives, and identify practical solutions that can help you move through challenges more effectively. My aim is to support a holistic and affirming process that respects your pace and priorities.
