About me
Hello and Welcome,
Taking the first step towards counselling can sometimes feel difficult. With over 20 years' experience, I offer a warm, confidential, and supportive space where you can explore whatever is bringing you to therapy.
I work with individuals facing a wide range of life's challenges, including anxiety, stress, depression, relationship difficulties, loss, life transitions, and issues relating to ADHD and neurodiversity.
Together, we will work towards greater understanding, resilience, and meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.
I offer therapy both in person and online, allowing us to work together in a way that best suits your individual needs and circumstances.
Whether you are seeking support for a specific difficulty, navigating a period of change, or looking to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, I aim to provide a safe and compassionate environment where lasting change can take place.
Professional Experience
Alongside my private practice, I have worked within higher education and a range of mental health settings, supporting people from diverse backgrounds and at different stages of life.
I am also a clinical supervisor, supporting both trainee and qualified counsellors in their professional development and clinical practice.
In addition, I facilitate a support group for people living with secondary breast cancer through Breast Cancer Now. This work has deepened my understanding of resilience, loss, uncertainty, identity, relationships, and the emotional impact of significant life challenges, enriching my work with clients facing difficult or unexpected circumstances.
My professional training includes somatic trauma counselling, mindfulness, cognitive hypnotherapy, integrative supervision and couples counselling, enabling me to tailor my approach to each client's individual needs.
How I Work
As a person-centred and integrative counsellor, I believe that feeling genuinely heard, understood, and accepted can create the conditions for growth, healing, and lasting change.
The therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work. I aim to provide a space where you feel safe to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgement.
While my core approach is person-centred, I draw on a range of therapeutic perspectives where appropriate, tailoring our work to your unique circumstances, strengths, and goals. Together, we will develop greater self-awareness, build resilience, and find ways forward that feel meaningful and sustainable.
Sessions
Sessions last 50 minutes and are available in person or online.
They provide a confidential and non-judgemental space to explore what you are experiencing, gain insight into underlying patterns, and identify practical ways of managing challenges more effectively.
Choosing a counsellor is an important decision. I offer a free initial telephone conversation, giving you the opportunity to discuss your needs, ask any questions, and explore whether working together feels right for you.
