I have been a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Tameside Foundation Trust since 1998

As well as having a regular NHS Gynaecology theatre and clinics I also run a colposcopy clinic.

Research interests

Editor of the Cochrane Menstrual Disorders and Subfertility Group. I have published systematic reviews on the management of aspects of fertility, endometriosis, adhesions and laparoscopic techniques.

Personal interests

I have been heavily involved in Medical Education at both regional and national levels.

This includes being an Deputy Dean at HEE NW and until recently Chairman of an educational committee at the RCOG.

I was the preceptor for the Hysteroscopic Surgery Advanced Skills Training Module in the North West

Awards received

National Bronze Merit Award 2008 and renewed in 2013 and 2018

Publications

I have published several Cochrane reviews published in the Cochrane Library. These include systematic reviews on infertility management and laparoscopy

The management of pelvic pain

Assessment of infertility and simple management (e.g. oral ovulation induction). I do not undertake assisted conception but can advise you if this is appropriate and signpost you (no conflicts).
