About me

I have been a Consultant Breast and Endocrine surgeon for ten years. I see people with breast symptoms such as pain, discharge or lump in my one-stop clinics and arrange ultrasound and possibly mammogram the same time. I have One-stop Breast clinics at Lyca health Orpington, The Sloane in Beckenham and at the Harley Street Clinic. After investigations if surgery is needed I arrange it promptly. I work with a dedicated team of specialist radiologists, pathologists, nurse specialists and oncologists and all patients needing surgery are discussed in a multi-disciplinary meeting.
As a Endocrine surgeon I see patients with thyroid and parathyroid problems. I have developed a special interest in surgery for over-active thyroid (thyrotoxicosis). I use state-of-the art nerve monitoring to ensure safety of the nerve that supplies the voice box(vocal cords). I'm a member of the British Association of Endocrine and Thyroid surgeons(BAETS) and submit my surgical outcomes to their national database.
I qualified from JIPMER, Pondicherry, India a prestigious Government medical school and did my surgical training in South Africa, Australia and finally in the UK. I also completed the Masters of Surgical Science from the University of Kent.
My NHS practice is at King's College NHS Foundation Trust(Princess Royal University Hospital, Orpington). My private practice is at Chelsfield Park Hospital, The Sloane Hospital, Blackheath Hospital, Lyca health Orpington, Weymouth Street Hospital and Princess Grace Hospital.
I'm ably supported in my private practice by highly experienced anaesthetists, radiologists, pathologists and a highly experienced medical secretary.
I firmly believe in training the next generation of doctors and surgeons. I'm a GMC accredited National Trainer, Faculty in Royal College of Surgeons, a National Panel member for selection of Specialist registrars, Educational supervisor for Foundation doctors and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer.
I keep up to date with current practice and engage with appraisal, revalidation and continuing professional development. I publish original articles in peer-reviewed journals on a regular basis.
I was awarded the Great Patient Experience 2025 and 2026 award from Doctify. I'm a BUPA Platinum Consultant.
In my free time I enjoy playing chess.
I keenly listen to my patients and put them at the heart of my practice.
