About me
A Consultant Anaesthetist since 1998. A partner of Group Anaes Services (Dorset).
Dr. John Ward is a Consultant Anaesthetist, with prior employment in Australia and Nottingham before he moved to Bournemouth. He qualified in Nottingham (1986) and undertook specialist anaesthesia training in the East Midlands (1990-1997) - with particular time spent at the Sheffield Vascular Institute and the Trent Cardiac Centre. His current NHS position at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital was preceded with 14 years at University Hospital, Nottingham; with significant vascular interests, as well as a Lead Clinician role for the Day Surgery Unit at Nottingham NHS Treatment Centre.
Dr Ward often uses regional (ultrasound guided) techniques to aid pain relief and enhance patients' recovery.
John enjoys cycling and watching rugby - and has been known to play a few games in times gone by!
He is happy to receive feedback from patients via "www.iwantgreatcare.org".
