About me

Dr Ugoh is a Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult and Addiction Psychiatry, working for the Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. He presently provides clinical leadership for clinical teams managing patients diagnosed with mental health disturbances with or without drug and alcohol misuse in Essex. He is also the clinical lead for addiction for Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust.

Dr. Ugoh has specialist experience in the assessment and management of a variety of mental health disorders, addictions to prescribed opiates, controlled drugs, stimulants and novel psychoactive drugs. His special interest is in dual diagnosis (mental health and substance misuse co-existing presentations) and quality improvement in care and practice.

Dr Ugoh provides treatment and care for both self-funded patients and those with medical insurance. He also provides court reports and mental capacity assessment reports.

Areas of interest

I am a specialist in the assessment and management of mental disorders including Clinical Depression, BPAD, Schizophrenia, Social and Generalized Anxiety etc.

I am also an addiction psychiatrist specialist in the management of alcohol misuse/dependency, Illicit and Prescribed drugs dependencies and people with dual diagnosis.
