About me

Sometimes life hits hard and we find it hard to cope. Sometimes everything seems to be well, and still, we are unhappy. There are times when we feel haunted by our past, and times when we just don’t understand some parts of ourselves - thoughts, emotions, or even physical pain. It can all feel like an overwhelming blur.

Over the past years we have gone - and are still going, through a previously unimaginable amount of collective stress, pain and grief. The pandemics, climate change, tragedies around the world are radically changing our lives and the perception we have of the world, and change can be confusing. It awakens feelings and memories we may not understand, and find overwhelming. So we could end up pretending that nothing is happening, but this way, unfortunately, we only get more hurt.

It is hard to face such inner struggles: perhaps we have never been taught that it is possible to take care of our mind, or perhaps we were never given the necessary tools to do so. But we can learn. Together we can face your experience, explore it, make sense of it and find ways to navigate it. Whatever your path in life is, and your story, I will be your ally through this journey of self-discovery.

My practice comes from 16 years’ experience in the field of mental health, both in the public and the private sector, in the UK and in Italy. As a Clinical Psychologist, I integrate different evidence based therapeutic approaches to understand problems in the context of your unique experience as a human being. I believe that one-size-fits-all suits no one, and that every intervention needs to be tailored on the person in front of me.

Among other problems, I can help if you are struggling with any of the following:

Bereavement and loss
Loss of pleasure in things
Self-accusation and self-blame
Being in physical pain without an apparent medical reason
Frequent feelings of shame and guilt
Sleep problems
Irritation without knowing why
Difficulty at being with others
Worrying a lot about things
Fear of the future
Not seeing the point in life
Being exhausted without knowing why
Having many unpleasant and disturbing thoughts that you can’t get rid of
Feeling that you are losing control
Worrying a lot about your health
Preoccupation around eating
