About me

I am a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years experience in the NHS and Private Practice. I offer assessment and evidence-based therapeutic intervention for children and adults experiencing a range of mental health difficulties. I have a special interest in anxiety disorders such as generalised anxiety, OCD, panic, performance and social anxiety, as well as chronic stress/burn-out.

I also support athlete mental health, both amateur and professional, across a range of sports including premier league football and professional tennis. I am a member of the UK Sports Institute Mental Health Practitioner Network. This is a selected group of practitioners across the country, supporting Olympic athlete mental health within world class programmes.

I understand the first steps in seeking psychology support can feel daunting. Developing a therapeutic relationship is often the key to successful support, and I place great value on creating a supportive, empathic and safe space to talk openly. I predominantly work within a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) framework. More recently, I have a growing interest in Compassion Focussed Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and integrate these ideas in my practice as appropriate.

I combine private practice with an NHS role as a senior clinical psychologist in a regional paediatric psychology service.

I welcome enquires in relation to both child and adult mental health support, and can offer both face-to-face at my clinic in Lymm, and remote support through BUPA.
