About me

Mr Saha holds post as Consultant Upper GI and Laparoscopic Surgeon at the Countess of Chester NHS Foundation Trust, as well as at Nuffield Health Chester Hospital.

He qualified from KMC Manipal, India in 1991 and gained post graduate degree (MS) in general surgery from KMC, Mangalore, India in 1995. He gained vast experience in General surgery while serving at a Mission Hospital in India and as faculty in Laparoscopic surgery at Ethicon Centre in Mumbai in 2001.

He completed his Higher Surgical Training in Nottingham and Derby and awarded CCT in general and Upper GI surgery.
He also spent one year as Bariatric Fellow with Professor Kerrigan at Gravitas (Phoenix) Bariatric Surgery Unit gaining experience in full range of Bariatric surgery.

Teaching and leadership
Mr Saha serves as Lead Clinician for Upper Gastro-Intestinal surgery (cancer and Biliary) at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

He has successfully established one stop Dyspepsia/reflux clinic and endoscopy at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

Mr Saha is the appointed Surgical Tutor by the Royal College of Surgeons for the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Educational supervisor for Higher Surgical trainees.
