About me
I am a registered Psychologist with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council), with extensive training in a range of psychological approaches, in particular cognitive models.
I have over 15 years experience working in mental health providing psychological assessments and treatments to adults in general hospital environment, psychiatric units, forensic setting and private practice.
Areas of interest
My main interests include mood and anxiety disorders, stress, grief, low self-esteem and trauma.
I have worked extensively using mindfulness-based interventions with both individual clients and staff support groups within the NHS.
I work with clients offering both brief and longer term therapy in a warm and supportive space in which to explore recent or more long-standing emotional suffering.
I do believe that through the establishment of a therapeutic relationship based on trust and genuineness we can work collaboratively focusing on the difficulties with which you are struggling at this specific moment and the changes you wish to make.
By assuming an attitude of curiosity, we will not only look at how your difficulties developed, but mainly at what maintains them, exploring and creating more helpful strategies and ways of living more meaningfully.
