About me
As a UKCP registered therapist my years working as a counsellor and psychotherapist in London and Tunbridge Wells have provided me with a broad spectrum of experience.
I offer one-to one adult counselling and psychotherapy which are tailored to suit individual need. Therapy can either be ‘short term’, usually between 6 – 12 sessions or ‘open-ended’ with sessions continuing for as long as they are experienced as of value.
My therapeutic approach although essentially psychodynamic is informed by other ways of thinking and working including cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), mindfulness, mentalisation-based theory (MBT) and anxiety management.
My earlier work as a physiotherapist in hospitals, schools and the community and latterly as Public Health Specialist for SE London NHS Cancer Screening Programmes has given me the breadth and depth of life which underpins my work. Working as a Bereavement Support Worker for Kent CRUSE Bereavement Service further broadens what I can offer.
I am a recognised and nominated therapist for students training to be psychologists, counsellors and psychotherapists at major training centres in London and the South East.
I completed supervision skills training with the British Psychotherapy Foundation BPF but currently do not offer therapeutic supervision.
Currently my practice is based in the centre of Tunbridge Wells, Kent. However, for the duration of the coronavirus pandemic I am working with all clients through video links or telephone.
